Question 1: Will the Sunday Finals’ format change?

Answer 1: The Sunday format will remain the same: top 31 qualifiers over the 6 combined shifts and the consolation winner following Saturday PM shift.

Question 2: Will the Saturday Consolation change?

Answer 2: The consolation will remain the same: a 32 player, knock style bracket, where qualifiers 32-63 will have the opportunity to win the final, 32nd spot and compete in the Sunday Finals.

Question 3: How much lineage will the Heritage Traditional take?

Answer 3: Heritage will be operating at a fixed rate per player for each $275 & $375 individual entry. This means only $50 will be taken per individual entry regardless of $275 or $375 and this will be capped at a maximum $6000 taken.

Heritage Lanes will be sponsoring the lineage beyond 120 individual entries & any player who plays more than 2 individual shifts. Heritage Lanes will cap at $50 per individual entry.

Example 1 linage for individual entry: Bowler A bowls 3 shifts, only $50 will be collected as linage.

Example 2 for capped value: 130 individual entries register. Heritage Lanes would take $6000 linage and the other $500 dollars would be donated by Heritage.

No lineage will be taken for Sunday Finals thanks to Heritage Lanes and Russel Metals Sponsorship!

Question 4: What is the difference between individual entry vs. individual shift?

Answer 4.1: Individual entry: is on a per person basis. It is a fixed rate with 2 options:

$275 for one shift rate (Historically used, but rate increased)

$375 for up to 6 shifts rate. (see conditions on Heritage Traditional or read below)

Answer 4.2: Individual shifts (historically used): are on a per person per shift basis. Heritage Traditional is charging a per person per shift basis for the $275 individual entry rate.

Question 5: How many shifts can you play with your $375 entry?

Answer 5: You can play up to 6 shifts, based on availability and lowest attempted shift rule.

*Please note any bowler that bowls 2 or more shifts is only classified as 1 individual entry*

Question 6: What is the lowest attempted shift rule?

This is a new concept to determine priority and create an even playing field and to maximize lane usage. All bowlers that enter the $375 entry will be guaranteed 2 shifts once payment is received. After that shifts are given on a first come first serve basis, the exception is lowest attempted shift rule where the players with the lowest attempts will be given priority over the higher attempts.

Example 1: If Bowler A is attempting his 3rd shift and Bowler B is attempting his 6th shift, priority will be given to Bowler A.

Example 2: If Bowler A is attempting his 4th shift and Bowler B is attempting his 5th shift, priorities will be given to Bowler A

Example 3: If Bowler A is attempting his 3rd shift and Bowler B is attempting his 3rd shift, priority will be given to the player whose payment was received first.

Question 7: If I pay the $275 rate, can I pay an additional $100 after bowling and utilize the $375?

Answer 7: Unfortunately, not. If you are playing at the $275 rate, you are committing to 1 shift only, once you have thrown your first ball you cannot upgrade to $375 rate.

However, if you would like to pay the additional $275 or an additional $375 after your first shift is thrown, you will be given the opportunity to play a 2nd shift or have access to unlimited shifts if additional payment is received.

We are encouraging all players who are hesitant towards playing 1 vs 2 shifts to pay the $375 rate, as this guarantees you a minimum of 2 shifts.

You are eligible to play a second shift to increase your qualification payouts!

Question 8: What happens if you pay $375 for 2 shifts and only need 1, do you get a refund?

Answer 8: Unfortunately, not. No refunds will be given once the first ball is thrown. Once payment is received you are confirming your individual entry. In the event of an emergency please, contact the host committee immediately.

However, you do have the opportunity to play an additional shift to increase your qualifying money!
